Schulich Builders: Scholarships for Skilled Trades

Schulich Builders are responsible, hardworking, dedicated people who are enrolled in a full-time, eligible skilled trade one-year certificate or two-year diploma program starting in Fall (September 2024) (eligible programs listed below), Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and demonstrate financial need.

The selected applicant will demonstrate a strong work ethic and character, as evidenced by one letter of recommendation by someone directly connected to the student, and be willing to act as an ambassador and promote their career choice in the skilled trades and the Schulich Builders program in high schools and community outreach. Preference for students applying directly from high school, although all students are welcome. Your most recent transcripts, either from high school or college/university if you are a transfer student.

3. Cabinetmaking Techniques, Ontario College Certificate
4. Mechanical Techniques – Millwright, Ontario College Certificate
5. Plumbing Techniques, Ontario College Certificate
6. Welding Techniques Ontario College Certificate
7. Building Construction Technician Diploma
8. Carpentry and Renovation Technician Diploma
9. Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician Diploma
10. Industrial Woodworking Technician Diploma
11. Landscape Technician Diploma

Renewal Criteria: Scholarship recipients must pass each semester and stay in their chosen program in order to keep their scholarship.
