Neola Veecock Memorial Scholarship

Presented to a student in the second semester of the Addictions and Mental Health program. The recipient will self-identify as a woman and a member of the Black/ African Community, demonstrate financial need, and have a good academic standing (GPA of 75%).

Neola Sacha Veecock passed away suddenly on April 25-2022 at the age of 37 years old She was a former student at Humber College and graduated in (2014) from the Social Service Worker Program. She was very passionate about continuing her education to become an Addictions Counsellor. However, her struggle with Mental Health, Addictions, and Domestic Violence hampered that dream. Her greatest accomplishment was being a loving and caring mother to three beautiful children. She touched everyone she met with her bright smile, deep dimples, warm presence, and positive attitude.
