Ben's Original Canada 'Seat at the Table' Scholarship - Culinary Skills
IMPORTANT NOTE: To qualify for this scholarship, students must log into MyHumber, click on Student Awards and Financial Aid, and then choose Apply for Financial Aid.
Presented to a student in the Culinary Skills program who self-identifies as Black/African, Indigenous, or a Racialized person. This scholarship will be presented to students who demonstrate financial need with preference given to applicants in good academic standing (GPA of 70% or greater). See additional criteria below. A letter of reference from an instructor, counselor or community leader, or employer is required as part of the application.
Recipients must also demonstrate non-academic success, including but not limited to:
- Overcoming barriers and challenges in pursuit of their education;
- Making positive contributions to the classroom, college, or community;
- Participating in volunteer activities;
- Received industry-specific awards, training, or employment.
