NEWSTALK1010 Radio Journalism Scholarship
Presented to students enrolled in a full-time Journalism program: Bacholor of Journalism (4-year), Journalism Diploma (3-year), Journalism Post-Graduate Certificate (1-year), who have a demonstrated interest in developing content for radio and/or have an interest and talent in investigative journalism, original reporting, or documentary.
Recipients must also meet the following criteria:
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
- Achieve a GPA of 70%
- Students must have completed one of the following courses:
- JRNL205-News Reporting 1
- 223-Data Journalism
- 319-Radio News 1
- 324-News Reporting 2
- 417-Radio News 2
- 519-Advanced Magazine
- 520-Advanced Radio News
- 521-Advanced TV News
- JNAL5003-Investigative Research
- 5005-Audio/Video 1
- JOUR1000-Foundations of News Gathering
