NEWSTALK1010 Radio Journalism Scholarship

Presented to students enrolled in a full-time Journalism program: Bacholor of Journalism (4-year), Journalism Diploma (3-year), Journalism Post-Graduate Certificate (1-year), who have a demonstrated interest in developing content for radio and/or have an interest and talent in investigative journalism, original reporting, or documentary.

Recipients must also meet the following criteria:

  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Achieve a GPA of 70%
  • Students must have completed one of the following courses:
  • JRNL205-News Reporting 1
  • 223-Data Journalism
  • 319-Radio News 1
  • 324-News Reporting 2
  • 417-Radio News 2
  • 519-Advanced Magazine
  • 520-Advanced Radio News
  • 521-Advanced TV News
  • JNAL5003-Investigative Research
  • 5005-Audio/Video 1
  • JOUR1000-Foundations of News Gathering
